Partner Furloughed

Having a partner with a stable full-time job has made my graduate school experience possible. However, my partner is now furloughed, and has been for the past month. There is no end in sight and I am now the "breadwinner" in our family (until the summer when I won't make anything). Since I had research plans, I didn't even consider applying for a summer TA-ship, since the application was due before this crisis exploded.
